The name of Junmai, which literally translates to pure rice, has become synonymous with premium sake. But the styles can vary greatly from nuances that hold intense umami all the way to the delicate, crisp and floral. We will be tasting the history of Nihonshu, as sake is called in Japan, with 4 variations of the Junmai category through the stories of 4 important sake brands that have shaped and reshaped the drinking culture of Japan.
