Christian Dalbavie is the French Portfolio Specialist Northeast for Kobrand Corporation, an established importer founded in 1944 and one of US leading importer of fine wine. Christian started with Kobrand over 7 years ago after working for several years as US brand ambassador for highly respected French producers, including Jean-Luc Thunevin owner of Château Valandraud in St Emilion and Yves Cuilleron, François Villard & Pierre Gaillard’s Vins de Vienne in the Rhone, Hervé Bizeul’s Clos des Fées, Château Rollan de By in Medoc and Toques & Clochers, Limoux.
Before joining the wine industry, Dalbavie had a long carrier in in the music industry. He spent the first 20 years of his carrier in New York and was involved in all different facets of the music industry, from engineering in recording studios working with major artists to promotion and marketing as an independent agent and as national marketing director for PolyGram Classics & Jazz (Deutsche Grammophon, Philips Music, Decca and Verve). Dalbavie moved to the Netherlands in 2000 to launch and run the European affiliate of one of the leading World Music labels, Putumayo World Music. He moved back to the US with his family in 2009 and now lives in Westchester, NY. He is the father of 2 children.
